I am a Licensed Clincal Mental Health Counselor. I have a Master's degree in counseling/psychology in expressive arts therapy from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. I have happily devoted my career of 25 years to mental health. I began as a social worker in New York City and worked my way up the coast.
Much of my experience is with children, adolescents, and families, working in mutlipe diverse settings. I co-founded and directed a therapeutic program for children with mental health and behavioral challenges. I also worked in foster and adoption services, residential treatment, community mental health, and home-based therapy/outreach. I have been in private practice for the past 12 years and currently work with teens and adutls.

I work as a traditional "talk therapist' and an expressive arts therapist. I consider my approach holistic and person-centered. This entails the "whole person" including factors such as health, realationships, work, leisure, etc. I provide supportive guidance, skill development, diagnosis and interactive feedback and rapport. I am trained in DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, certified in anxiety treatment, thought filed thearpy (trauma processing), and expressive art therapy. Art therapy is for all ages and no art experience is needed. This treatment modality uses art materials and/or writing as a tool to process trauma, emotional release, and insight.
